Authentic large coil hopi basket

Description:	This rare 13 inch Hopi made coil basket was collected from the village of Shungopani at second mesa on the Hopi pueblo in the 1990s. It was believed to be a real payback basket. These baskets rarely are released from the reservation. The pattern is a flower and it shows very little wear, if any there are just a few color bleeds from the black only. Since its release from the pueblo it was owned by a collector, sold at an estate auction then sold to a Sedona gallery where we purchased it for Trading Post Southwest our Pinetop Arizona gallery. You can find sifters, wickers, but you rarely find a real coil.
